
| Emergency Shelter is provided through agreements with local motels to homeless individuals for one night at a time, with a maximum of three nights, if an action plan is developed. | Rent and Utility Assistance to prevent homelessness for individuals and families is provided. Clients must have an income; rent can not exceed 80% of their income. Help is limited to one month’s past due; no money for deposits is available. The Reach Utility Assistance Program, through P.G.&E., assists senior citizens, the chronically ill, and the working poor. (A shut-off notice must have been received in order to apply.) |
| Medical Gas Voucher’s help low-income families get to out of county medical appointments. A referring physician completes documentation. | Food Bank vouchers to CAN; PCIRC is the umbrella agency for the Community Assistance Network (CAN) in Quincy, Eastern Plumas Community Assistance Network (EPCAN) in Portola, and Indian Valley Food Bank in Greenville. |
